FAQ

  • What can I expect for my first appointment?

When you book your first appointment, the Jane software will send you access to our online intake form, consent form, and a credit card registration for ease of payment for you to fill out before you arrive. During the initial assessment, we will take a deep dive and learn about you! Including your injuries, overall health, and goals. We will also do an objective/physical exam to test the integrity of the injured structures and a movement screen. The main goal of the initial assessment is game planning! By outlining a structured plan that aligns with your goals in-order to get you from where you are now to where you want to be and doing what you want to do. This initial assessment will take approximately one hour.

  • Do you treat ___?

Chances are the answer is yes!
As a Physiotherapist I treat most musculoskeletal injuries that involve the nerves, joints, muscles and bones. If you have any questions, feel free to send me and email: JoshuaRPhysio@outlook.com

  • What should I bring/wear to my appointment? Do I need a referral?

I recommend, wearing athletic/breathable clothing or clothing that can easily expose the injured area for treatment (Example: shorts for lower body injuries and a t-shirt/tank top for upper body issues).

I would also highly recommend bringing water, as some of our treatment session may have you in the gym increasing your physical qualities.

Referrals: A referral is not necessary for our services, but your insurance provider may require a doctor’s note in order to process and cover your claim.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee to the card on file. Extenuating circumstances will be considered as sometimes life gets in the way!

    3 strike policy:

1st Offense: Reminder of cancellation policy

2nd Offense: 50% of the FULL CHARGE of the visit (this charge is not covered through Extended Health Coverage)

3rd+ Offense: 100% charge of the visit, also if there are 4+ I recommend that instead of booking in advance, Patient go on the waitlist and take appointments as they come up or call week-of and book more last minute if it works better with their schedule/lifestyle

  • Do you offer direct billing?

Unfortunately, at this time I do not. It is something I am actively exploring. Additionally, as a solo practitioner I strongly dedicate my time and resources to provide the highest 1-to-1 quality care.

  • Do you accept WSIB, OHIP, or MVA

Currently, at this time I do not. If you are looking for a publically funded physio clinic please visit this link here
